Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst at Capmation, you operate as a strategic partner across clients, delivery teams, and leadership. You translate business goals into clear, actionable requirements; lead discovery and problem-framing; and ensure technical solutions create measurable business value. You bring structure where there is ambiguity, guide clients through key decisions, and elevate delivery quality through thought leadership, technical fluency, and strong consulting presence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Discovery & Strategic Problem Framing: Run discovery sessions, map current/future states, uncover business goals, clarify pain points, define measurable outcomes, and turn ambiguity into structured direction.
  • Shape the Solution & Guide Client Decisions: Translate business objectives into solution options, evaluate feasibility with the tech team, frame trade-offs, and influence clients toward the approach that delivers the most value.
  • Own the Backlog End-to-End: Define and refine all work items; ensure DoR/DoD; establish acceptance criteria; prioritize by business value; and maintain a roadmap and backlog that drive predictable delivery.
  • Align Cross-Functional Teams Around Clarity: Work hand-in-hand with PMs, Tech Leads, QA, and UX to ensure aligned understanding of scope, requirements, and dependencies.
  • Lead UAT & Validate Business Outcomes: Design UAT plans, facilitate sessions with stakeholders, track acceptance, and confirm that delivered features meet business goals and solve the intended problem.
  • Align Cross-Functional Teams Around Clarity: Work hand-in-hand with PMs, Tech Leads, QA, and UX to ensure aligned understanding of scope, requirements, dependencies, and risks.
  • Act as a Consultative Partner & Thought Leader: Guide clients, challenge assumptions respectfully, communicate with clarity and confidence, and support internal best practices, frameworks, and mentoring of other analysts

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of Business Analysis experience in agile software development, consulting, or product-driven environments.
  • Strong technical understanding of SDLC, system architecture, data flows, integrations, APIs (not a developer level, but fluent enough to bridge business and engineering).
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills: able to manage executive stakeholders, influence decisions, and lead high-stakes conversations with clarity and composure.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect features to ROI, efficiency, user impact, and operational outcomes.
  • Preferred certifications: CBAP, CPO, PMI-PBA, or equivalent advanced BA/Agile credentials.
